I only decided my New Years Resolution on the 2nd of January, but better late than never hey?

I've always liked the thought of diaries, always bought new diaries every year, but never actually used them very well. I throw in a few people's birthdays at the beginning of the year and then forget all about it until around December.

This year, I'm going to finally make use of a diary. It's all very well putting appointments in your phone, but I like the thought of carrying a diary and pen with me wherever I go - it seems very grown up! The gorgeous patterned diary on the left was purchased back in November from Waterstones, and it's so pretty I've been itching to start using it!

The brown leather one on the right is also beautiful, particularly as the leather is so buttery and soft. I'm really happy to have this one as it was actually an unwanted gift to my mum this Christmas. It reminds me of a Moleskine diary and feels really luxurious! It's probably a bit excessive to have two diaries, but this is where my resolution comes into it.

I'm (hopefully) going to use the patterned one as a 'dates and appointments' diary, as you would usually use it. The other one I'm going to use each night to record what I did during the day, and what the day's highlight was. I think this will help me to really appreciate all of the little things and will give me a really positive outlook on life. It'll also be really fun to look through towards the end of the year.
